Colloquium in London

Members of AcrossBorders (Florence and I) are getting ready to go to London, to participate on the one-day international colloquium, Recent Archaeological Fieldwork in Sudan on May 13, 2013. This yearly event, organized by the Sudan Archaeological Research Society and held at the British Museum, offers the great chance getting first-hand information about recent fieldwork projects in Sudan – and meeting colleagues to exchange thoughts and ideas.

The 2013 colloquium presents a rich programme, focusing on reports from Kawa and Amara, but also including studies from surveys in both Upper Nubia and the region of the Fourth Cataract as well as some recent work on Napatan and Meroitic sites. Without doubt, this upcoming Monday in London will provide a lot of intriguing new data, potentially of high interest for AcrossBorders!
